Beauty of Change
The beauty of change.
I personally have a very hard time with change, surprise, the unexpected. I am a planner, I like to know what to expect, and each time something unexpected happens in my life, I still feel like I am having the wind knocked out of me. I consciously put an effort in to accept that change is a inevitable part of our lives. Change is needed, change is good, to move forward and grow – change must occur.
I like to believe every person in this world has a kind heart, knows right from wrong, and means well in everything they do. Sadly, this is not the case. I like to believe that honesty is a priority in everyone’s lives – however this too is not the case.
Each of us human beings have been raised within different family dynamics, different environments, had different experiences growing up – all of which have shaped each of us into very different people, with vastly different priorities, morals, and perceptions.
It is scary to me to think that the word “love” for instance, can have two very different meanings to two different people. How can we build relationships and/or friendships when practically every word could hold two separate meanings to two people? I guess that is where getting to know people comes in, we are not all compatible. Not all people that come into your life are meant to remain there. Some people come into our lives to teach us life lessons, give us experiences, and they are sometimes very painful. However, it is up to us how we use the experience, and what we gain from it.
It is up to us how we deal with each unexpected curve ball thrown at us, get back up, and keep moving forward. It is our job to find the beauty in change.
